Dumb luck I happened to wander in on the last day of lifetime memberships. I'm not around too much these days, way too busy with life in general, but I'm happy to contribute however I can!

I'm experiencing the same issue. Works fine (great in fact) with M50, 5D4, and R. When I plug in the R5 the screen on the camera just blinks on and off rapidly, no video.

I bought an R to hopefully replace my 5D4, but it just wasn't enough. I kept both, it is nice having two FF bodies again. If the R5 can replace the 5D4, I think I'll be quite content with the R & R5 combo.

And I'll balk if it's a tiny non-ergonomic card deck sized body that doesn't balance well with my lenses. So, if it's like Sony? Well, perhaps there we agree.
