35mm f/2 IS, your experiences and impressions

Hello all,

I have had the shorty-forty for some time now and I've enjoyed it a lot. I like the slightly wider perspective versus 50mm, and found myself using it on my 6D very often. I've recently saved up a bit of money and was considering selling off the 40mm for Canon's new 35mm f/2 IS. I've read great things about it, and I wanted to hear about other peoples' experiences with the lens. Did you love it? Hate it? Have you used the 40 as well? How does it compare to the 40? And was it worth the much greater price tag versus the 40? Finally, I also have a copy of the canon 50mm 1.4, the best copy I've so far come across (I've tried two others over the past few years and encountered problems achieving accurate focusing and one copy that seemed to optically "fall apart" around infinity focus). Does anyone own and use both lenses, or are they just too close in focal length?

Thank you in advance for anyone insights and suggestions!

Andrew
