BTW .. the "G1" model does work with the Canon EOS R !!

Provided you don't buy grey, but purchase USA, the firmware update originally designed for the 5D mk iv takes care of using with the EOS R even if their site doesn't say so in the compatibility list.

I'm using the two together for over a year.

Tamron has released a new firmware specifically to A0009+EOS R. I sent my 70-200 g1 to be upgraded week ago. Will get it back in a few days.
