Sunrise

I am sticking with sunrises.

This time...I found a puddle.

Nubble Light in York, Maine. R5 with RF 24-105 f/2.8 (no tripod, resting on hand or rock)

My favorite:

A very close second (mostly cooler tones, but it is a few frames later)

A few others as I found other puddles or had different stages of light/clouds:

Having a bit more Fun with Film; I went down to the local derelict canal just before sunrise with the intention of seeing how much I could push the highlight exposure with Kodak Ektar 100, as this film has not got as great a (dynamic) range as some others. This is with the yellowy pink part of the sky overexposed by eight stops, or to be more precise, five and a half stops over the correct exposure for the sky. This gave the correct exposure for the canal bank under the trees on the left.
Canon EOS 1n with EF 24-70 f/4 IS @ about 65mm.

Here in the uk we have been battered with high winds and torrential rain for the best part of a month. I am blessed with a beautiful view from my bedroom window over the Wiltshire Ridgeway. Every now and then the elements clear and conspire to reveal a nice pre-dawn or sunrise. Sunday was one of those reare moments inbetween a very wet season.
Using a 400mm lens, I was able to find a composition that I liked.
