I dont know about a trillion FPS, but interesting technology... I remember 10 years ago if we wanted to take photos of things faster than any camera could record, instead of speeding up the camera, we sped up the light.. For instance when I was at Brooks Institute, we would take photos of bullets in air... at the fastest shutter speed most cameras could do the bullets we were using was moving several feet and couldn't be stopped in action so we used a modified flash that basically let out a spark of light with 2 wires with a small gap connected to the two ends of a car battery... Using a time delay we would dial in what was the best location/time delay in the flash to trigger fire so we could get the bullet stopped... the spark was maybe less than a foot away from the bullets flightpath so there was little room for error but yeah...
