16-35 vs 24-70 at 24mm. -Distortion-

Several sites show that the 16-35mm 2.8 II has less distortion than the 24-70mm with both at 24mm : http://tinyurl.com/7y9qbgk


My 16-35mm looks like it has more, is there possible a problem with my lens?
The First shot is the 24-70, 2nd is 16-35. Look at the corner of the case.

They both look fine to me. Its highly unlikely that something is wrong with your lens. Try shooting at a brick wall, from a tripod, same focal length, ISO, and shutter speed. Make sure the camera is SQUARE to the wall. then look. You will get distortion out of both lenses at 24mm...
