1D Mark IV Prices

The prices of 1D Mark IV bodies are going up despite the availability of the 1Dx and rave reviews for the 1Dx. What's up with the used market?

The typical pattern is for prices of a body to drop when a new model is announced, and then rise later for a year or so. I did check Canon's refurb price, and it has not changed, its still 3995.Eventually, they all go down in price.
The 1D Mark IV has the ability to autofocus at f/8 and a 1.3 crop factor. Birders and those who are focal length limited value those features.
