1D mk IV & 5D mk III or 1DX?

Anyone else weighing this option? (I am upgrading from a 7d)


Advantages of 1D IV + 5d Mk III:
10 fps of 1d iv better than 8fps
1.3 crop/FF options and versitility
low light ability and focus speed for birding
f8 focusing on 1D IV

Advantages of 1DX:
even lower light ability
12/14fps
fastest focusing ability
best metering canon has available
ethernet port
portrait joystick

I almost want to wait for a 1dx II w/ f8 focusing.

great combo, I would love it if they brought out a gripless APS-H body though to partner with the 5Dmk3

I have a 1DII and i'm waiting for a 1Dx. The 7D is much newer than the 1DII so it should work until the 1DxII.

I want a new toy My 7d is awesome, but I am curious about FF quality. My favorite thing to photograph is BIF, so it's counter intuitive, I know. I don't even care for my 70-200 f2.8L IS ii USM because it doesn't have enough reach and is too heavy for carrying around, but doesn't do low light enough for crop.

I thknk it really depends on what are your immediate need because both option can be very attractive.

Then get a 400 2.8 v1 ~ I have one and on a crop body it's awesome hehe
