Unless they have fixed the touch screen on the 1Dx II, the 5D4 has a lot more functionality. It is super nice to fire off a round of shots and be able to quickly and easily pinch-and-zoom to see if you have locked focus.
Would it be easier to just press the zoom button and see your image at 100% at the focus point?

The cell phone folk don't want that. It's not faster it's just more familiar. I use the set button and shutter wheel with my right thumb/finger.

I too don't understand this talk about pinch-zooming, it's IMO actually slower than going with the zoom button and wheel.
BUT moving around with your finger is much faster than using the clumsy joystick (clumsy for this application).

I understand that there are different preferences and have nothing against this feature and if this was a photo acquiring activity it would be more time critical for me. I don't understand why it's not there as an option and believe it will be soon. Perhaps it's not yet "perfected" enough like DPAF.

Typical naysaying: "I can do it just as well using the old method etc etc etc, who needs autoexposure, who needs AF, who needs DPAF etc etc? Who needs a touch screen?". It is much quicker moving through the enlarged image scrolling with your finger.

Its definitely just a convenience factor and something I am more used to and appreciate more than the button. Do I need it? No. Do I need a Ferrari? No. Would I like both? Yes! ;D

The 5DMK III Ok
The 5DsR just doesn't cut it for low light Wildlife, but a superb camera when you have enough light and things move a little slower.

Strange conclusion. 5DS/R has up to 2 full stops better DR and better noise than the 5DIII. Plus it will focus after the 5DIII gives up so both functionality and low light results are superior with the 5DS/R.
