What rating would you give this one? I know I won't get one, but after it taking this long, I'm really curious what they put in that thing!

Probably 32mp?
5 fps, or maybe 6 fps max?
Beside FF, for rest most the same as the 1D mk4?

But for video it would be a real flagship if it eliminates the aliasing-effect by using all pixels on the sensor.

I wonder if they will make it the video flagship though. I have heard video guys say that the vertical grip is not as ideal for video whereas the 5D and 7D don't have that making their form factor a little better. Just what I've heard, no personal experience w/ shooting video on either body type.

If they go 32 (or even 39) mp on a FF sensor, what would the pixel density be similar to? Just trying to get an idea in my head of how packed that will be.

I really seems like you're trying to discourage them from putting video on the 1Ds 4. That's funny!! The 1D 4 already has video so I think you're just going to have to deal with it. I think it's great.

Nope, not at all trying to discourage it. I'm not that guy that hates video...actually, I'm really glad they are putting it on everything and I think that the 1Ds will have it. All I said was that I didn't think it would be the video flagship. That's all.

I've heard that the vertical grip does not make it ideal for video (based on some things I had heard about the 1D).

I fully expect it to be on there and think they would be dumb to not include it. Definitely not discouraging.
