Hi...

My 1DX2 drains the battery in a matter of days (GPS off), power button in off, 4-5 days and the battery is completly drained, on my 1dx it´s not a problem, it can go weeks without any significant change in battery level (even in auto power off mode)...

Anyone else that has experienced that?

I don't have this problem on my 1DXII. Something is wrong, that is for sure.

Yep, definitively. I leave my 1DXII mostly on (goes to sleep after 1 minute), even if it sits for days or weeks on the shelf (GPS off). Some weeks only cost a few percent battery life.

So yes, there is most likely something wrong with either your cam or the battery. Are you sure GPS is off? I forgot that once and it drained the battery in one or two days (cause the GPS gets no signal indoors but constantly tries to).

I just checked, it was in mode 2, now disabled, lets see if that improves anything.

Hi Nicolai.
Do you store your camera with a lens on or just the body? From memory there have been problems in the past with battery drain from bodies stored without lenses on. From memory firmware updates caused this and then fixed it!

Cheers, Graham.

Hope that solves it :)
