Have you asked Canon?

Even though it might be „end of service life“ it could be that Canon is still offering kind of service.

If you already did sorry for putting up that idea.

Then maybe ask the guys at lensrental.com.
With their experience … maybe.

There is a shop in Europe ( The Hague) who serviced mine... will not be a help for repair if you are in the states, but might be a source for parts if the need arrises

Royal Camera Service of Hanover Park, IL has informed me they cannot service this lens and cannot get parts
