Thanks for the link. You can convert those CR2 files into DNG using the new Adobe DNG Converter.

Just downloaded Adobe DNG converter and it won't open them. IstantJpegFromRaw opens a highly compressed JPEG from them though. They look very good, makes me want to reconsider from what I see in that 5000 ISO image. Wish he'd have used a smaller aperture though, hard to tell with that 2.0 blowing out the backgrounds!

Lots of misleading information is being posted.

What people are seeing is the low resolution jpeg imbedded in the image, and it will appear to be soft.

Only the Adobe Beta Camera Raw or DNG Converter will open them. Its a beta, but unless you have the new DPP, its the best we have.

Hi Mt Spokane - I downloaded the latest version of DPP that I could find (3.11.4.10) and still couldn't open them. Is there a later version available please?

I went to the link and noticed that all images have a -1/3 EC in them. for Raw, thats not a optimal setting, I would not underexpose. I'm installing the adobe beta, so I'll get a look at the actual raw images in photoshop.

Man, loving these high ISO raw files. Bumping up the NR in ACR to 30-40 totally eliminates the noise. A little tweak of the sharpening, and these images are mind-blowing.

Quick question...

Did Canon change something between the pre-production units and the street units? The noise, even in these ISO 2000 and 2500 shots, is really impressive. It seems like it's way less than some of the earlier images that came out.

Or am I just fooling myself?

I downloaded the one with just the fruit stand and converted to tiff, and Dng as well as opening the cr2 in lightroom. The image was sharply focused on the back row of grapes and the green ones in front were out of focus a bit.

As expected, the histogram was shifted to the left. I raised the exposire slightly and did not see any noise.

I guess I'll look at some of the other images to see if they are back focused as well.
