50mm 1.8 vs 40 2.8

Is the 40mm worth the higher price than the 50? for video and photo

50 1.8 will be much noisier and clunky compared to the 40 2.8. How important is the wider aperture of the 50 1.8 compared to the 2.8 of the 40 for you?

Personally, out of the two lenses mentioned, i'd choose the 40 for video.

I would usually take 40 2.8 over 50 1.4 let alone 50 1.8.
