Hello guys, as you can see on a photo below, there is a light stain which can be seen only under the light! I've been tried to clean it, but without any results. I had remains of car paint on my fingers. Can you help me pls ? Thanks!

what have you tried cleaning it with? moist towel? alcohol rub? I had a similar thing on the grippy textured rubber of my 5D Mark II and I'm trying to remember what I did to get it out, I think I used lens cleaning solution

Heres what I'd do:

1. Right click the file you posted above: choose "open with photoshop CSX" where x is the version of photoshop you have.
2. Click "s" move mouse over good area of camera just over area where you think the paint is good.
3. Alt + Click then move to the defective area and click and drag.

That should work!

Just chill! It will naturally flake off. Well some of it will. :)

Like many have said, do not use strong solvents (or acid or grinders). You will only make it worse. Consider it a battle scar and tell a story about it...

Believe it or not their are people who look at their camera more than through it.
Cameras are becoming status symbols just like phones have become. If 5d's came in gold i'm sure some people would opt for it.

LOL

I'm wondering, do you guys not wash your cars? I mean, heck, it's just a tool to transport you around. who cares if it's got mud and rust? or your clothes, I mean, really, they're just there to keep you warm and prevent other people from seeing your private areas. why do you want to get stains out? gosh, such status mongerers.

Maybe try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, those seem to work on everything. Someone spray painted a friends car and it took it right off. Please know I have never tried using a Magic Eraser on a camera body so it may do more harm than good, it is simply a suggestion.

Just tell people that it's high ISO noise reduction coating. Or better "anti banding coating" if you're talking to real experts.

I remember that my bass player would tell people that we had modified the (broken) effects processor in my guitar rack to turn the display backlight off so that no stray electrons would get into the signal path....

A few years ago I had a similar situation, (accidentally got silver color car paint on my EOS 500D) I took an ear bud dipped in turpentine, made small strokes and immediately used a damp wet cloth to wipe the area so the turpentine would not chew through the camera paint ... it worked. You have to make sure to wipe with wet cloth immediately after each stroke/rub, else you will ruin the original camera color.

+1 and well said.
Just because someone likes to keep their gear clean, does not make them any lesser of a photographer than the rest of us, it just means they care about being neat, nothing wrong with that, in fact it is an enviable trait. There are many professional photographers who take very good care of their equipment and take pride in it.
