5D Mark III Kit IN-STOCK at B&H!

Pretty sure they cleared the backorders of the kits last week on the first shipment, because I picked up a kit straight off their site(B&H) Thursday(3/22) afternoon. I cancelled my 'body only' order Sunday, so maybe that will help someone else out that is still waiting on a 'body only' from them. BTW, I have a brand new 24-105mm for sale... Lol

an employee who i have know for years (and trust), said that they are getting tons of supply in, but that the preorders have been out of control. According to him they have gotten 2 big shipments from canon per week and that will continue. obviously their closing for passover in a few weeks will throw a wrench in things but he said the monday after they reopen (16th i believe), he would expect most pre orders to be filled completely by that week. (if the current trend from canon continues). they have almost all canon lenses on display, so you can use whatever lens you like! (i used a 16-35, 24-105, 300....)

They were also offering a discount on their extended warranty for only 129, which included cleanings each year. If you've ever had your camera cleaned before, you know that it's easily $60 each time!

Just ordered a couple hours ago from B&H with next-day shipping (current status "In stock, order sent to warehouse "). Found out that a friend of mine was lusting after the 24-105 (already has a 7d), so I offered him my old one for a price he couldn't refuse, so he found the money. So, I get both a new body and a fresh, new lens!

I tried it in B&H was very impressed on Thursday, thought about it but dont need a 24-105, My friend who has just invested and gone full frame on 5D Mark II, 24-70 Mark I and 50mm 1.2L has the cash but could not justify it yet.
Still one heck of a camera the autofocus was amazing much better than my 7D that I had with me.
Anyway I took a hit and bought a S100 nearly got the G1X but the S100 is a fantastic piece of kit.
oh well in JFK now and heading home to the UK
