5D MK lll arriving a little early ?

It must be. I was chating with B&H earlier and they provided no info on an arrival date or when they'd start shipping. Now that may be a stock answer for all inquires on the 5D3, but I keep going back to CR's call of the 22nd as a sell date. 10 days to go!!

Let's all keep in mind how the world of retail works... if March 22nd is the "street date", stores will be getting the product a few days in advance to prepare inventory, assign SKUs, etc., and to educate salespeople on the new features of the product.
My local shop informed me that they were told to expect delivery of their 5D3 stock early next week, although contractually they are obligated not to display or sell any 5D3 bodies prior to the 22nd. I was told this the day after launch (March 3rd), so things may have changed in the last week.
If not, the 22nd will be the first day we see hard product.

I don't like joke posts, and I hope my dealer or others won't get in any trouble for shipping in advance of the 22nd date, if in fact they do. I really don't think they would break any manufacturer guidelines.
I contacted them the day before the camera was released and asked to be put on the pre-order list. They told me there was no list but they would start one and put me on it.
The email was sent this morning to make sure payment was in order so there'd be no delays in shipping.
Again, they wrote " Canon is shipping these out in the next day or two to us. I should be able to get the cameras out this week to you."

My dealer said they were told by Canon Canada NO sales until March 22nd. Maybe Canon has back off a little.
