Sorry of you have seen many of these... I can add more on request, but these are the first test shots of the 5d3 I got today.

ISO test from 800 all the way to 25,600. In Cam NR = Standard.

No NR applied in PP.

100% crops

Last shot, Used LR4 to apply NR on 25,600 shot only. Hope you guys get yours soon.

Thanks for the test images, K-amps. They look pretty good, all things considered.

Out of curiosity, do you have any test charts with 4000 lp/ph or more test images? It would be nice to see how the 5D III fares on the resolution, sharpness, and contrast front as well. (The 800 lp/ph in your current is too low to really evaluate that.)

Sorry this is all I have. 800lp/ph. Also this is a printout from an image I got from the "internet" so I cannot say what it scaled to when I printed it. I used it to compare different lenses so it worked for me.

If it helps give perspective, the visible area in the pics is about 75mm across horizontally. I shot about 5 feet from the chart.

I never owned a 5d2, I had a 5d1 that I sold last week. This guy is soooo much better in handling.

Thank you very much for sharing. Would you mind if I'd ask you for some 51200 and 102400 shots, just to see how a serious test at these levels looks like? I do not work with LR. All done in DPP. But compared to DPP, how much NR did you apply?

What do you think, will 51k give us a usable low light street photography/portrait in B/W?

Cheers, Pedro

I think it'll be a lot like shooting and pushing TMZ back in the old days.
