5d3 issues/canon repair info

My 5d3 has started having issues. At first I thought it was a lexar memory card. After a shoot I got home to empty out the card and when I put it in the card ready of the computer it wouldn't read. Long story short I found out when I put it in my camera the camera wouldn't turn on.
So I assumed it was a card failure.
However now unless I pull my battery out of my camera after periods of non use it won't turn on. Even that doesn't always fix it. Sometimes I have to play with it for a while before it starts working.
Anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?
I have a wedding on the 24th and so I am deciding if this needs to be sent to canon for repair immediately or will it not be back in enough time?

I haven't had any technical Problems with my 5D3 yet, except for hot pixels. So I cannot share information on your issue.

I wanted to post about repair times:
Here I think it is very important to mention where you live so we know to which repair center you'll be sending your camera.
I can tell you that I had send my 5D3 for sensor cleaning and remapping of the hot pixels (Which I now know how to do it myself) to my German Canon repair center within 5 days. I have a CPS silver membership.

I once sent in a lens for AF repair and cleaning (not having CPS back then) and it was returned in less than 2 weeks.

That's my experience with Canon Germany. YMMV.

I would ask your repair center about the expected repair time, so you can decide.

But honestly, I wouldn't take a camera reacting as unreliable as yours on a important job like a wedding.
I would get it repaired and if it does not return fast enough I'd rent a 5D3, so I'll stay familiar with my ergonomics.

I'd recommend calling Canon. Repair turn around in the US is generally less than two weeks, faster if you have a CPS membership. Either way, you should have a back up body for the wedding, if you're the designated photographer.

I live in the USA in Arizona. Hopefully repair time will not be that bad. I have three other backup cameras. This one is just typically my go to camera. I'll update this once I talk to canon.
