I received my 5dIII last week and took it out and shot a bit in the light and it was sharp. However, over the past week I have noticed that it for some reason has changed. I then reset my camera settings thinking maybe something I did made it change. Nope. I then took some studio shots, the eyes almost look cloudy. I did get some sharp ones, but it was here or there. - Then with my camera sync'ed with a cord to the strobe, the strobe would not fire when the camera was horizontal, only vertical. Not sure what is going on, any thoughts on this???

How do I test my camera and figure out the lens calibration if that is needed?
& this strobe issue??? It never did this w/ my mkII.

Thanks in advanced.

Any chance you could borrow another sync cord? I'm wondering if it might be a loose connection for the 5dm3 even through it works on your 2d.

I have an ETTL cable for using my flash, but I don't have a sync cord that I can try this with. Sorry.

Hope you find an answer.
