The 6D is a little cleaner at high ISO than the 1DX or the 5D3. I have the latter 2 and a colleague has the 6D and I can tell a noticeable difference in the noise apparent with 6D images. The 6D's 6400iso shots look very close to the 1DX at 4000iso.

That's an intresting statement. How is the 6D at ultra high ISO let'ts say 51k and 102k?

The point is are the ISOs on different cameras 100% equivalent? I mean if someone shoots with 2 cameras say 5D3 and 6D and uses the same speed, aperture and ISO will the results in the two cameras have equal brightness?

I wish I had bookmarked the link, but a couple weeks back I saw a comparison between the 5D III and the 6D for night exposure shots. The difference was significant (in the 6D's favor).

6D photos are darker that their 5D3 equivalent. Quite a comparison ;D

NO, it means that Canon has a better way to deal with color noise and banding in 6D .

It is surprising that so many test pages do not understand the difference and think that less resolution has a positive effect on high iso

As an example, the 6D with higher resolution than 1DX has better signal/ noise ratio at 51000iso than the 1dx

Well 51k look quite good in JPEG, but I'd rather see the RAWs...expsoing to the right yields usable pics at ISO 16k on the 5D3 but I hope it will improve in upcoming bodies and I strongly hope Canon keep their MPs within the 22 MP range...
