Acceptable amount of hot pixels

Hey all, Im on my second 6d(first one had a dead pixel mid sensor), replacement I took out last night to take some long exposures. I was surprised to see a good amount of what I am assuming are hot pixels as they are not in every shot just long exposures. I had never really seen this a lot on my rebel. Should I be expecting this on a full frame? Or should I be sending this back to give a third one a try? Thanks for the advice.

They are to be expected, you can try the do it yourself mapping out process, or send it to Canon to map them out.

You did not define what a long exposure is to you, 30 sec or 30 minutes?? You also did not mention the ISO setting.

With a moderately long exposure of 10-15 seconds, I see no hot pixels on either of my 5D MK III's unless I boost the exposure by 4 or 5 stops.

Did you attach the VF Lid when doing the long exposure?
I myself made the experience that a forgotten lid on the VF makes a great difference for long exposure shots.
