Here are a few pics of a trip I did to Antarctica last xmas. I was only just getting back into photography at that point and was using an entry level canon but still. It would have to be the most amazing place on earth to take a photo.

If you ever get the opportunity do not hesitate to go there.

Great shots, how did you get there if you don't mind me asking?

An expedition cruise from the bottom of south america. Not cheap but worth every penny.

And thanks you all for the compliments. Tbh though it was hard to take a bad photo.

Beautiful shots! One of my favorite places but I hat getting into all that gear to go ashore! We've done the Grand Tour twice (Antarctica, So Georgia, Falklands) and Antarctica alone 1x and Falklands alone 1x. For our encore (if we have it in us!) we may do So Georgia 1 more time--some ice and penguins.

I was involved in a major project that projection mapped an iceberg onto all four sides of the Auckland Museum (New Zealand). This included video sections of ice collapse and sounds from icebergs (as they creaked and groaned and collapsed), augmented with specially composed music. We used 22 video projectors to cover 8000 m2, which I understand is the biggest projection mapping project in the Southern Hemisphere.

The trailer is here:

Joe used Nikon gear to shoot stills and videos, but Canon lent us a huge amount of gear to document the installation. I'll post a link once the video of the installation is available.
