I placed my pre-order with them on 13th March, and I've called for updates 4 times, and have been told a different thing each time by 4 different people:
1) Called late last week, and was told the stock was coming in early and I'd get delivery Monday 19th. This seemed unlikely however the CS agent was pretty adamant
2) Called Monday 19th, told by the CS agent that what I'd been told was wrong, and the camera would be released on the 22nd, no sooner [NB Jessops are a retail store, and have had stock of the 5Diii + 24-105 kit available for about a week]. Told that they would have ample stock to cover their pre-orders and that I would be in the first batch.
3) Called yesterday (Monday 21st), told that stock had come in early and would be dispatched same day for delivery today, I'd get a tracking note overnight (next day delivery is pretty common in the UK). Gave my credit card details for the deposit payment (I have a finance agreement in place). Confirmed that stock quantities were ample
4) Called this morning (Tuesday) as I hadn't received the tracking number and my order status still showed it was on backorder. CS agent told me that she thinks some stock came in, but it looks like they didn't get enough to cover everyone's! Moreover they appear to no longer have my CC details and payment wasn't taken! They don't know when more stock is coming in yet and will contact me when it does.
LAME! Anyone else having similar (or more positive) experiences?
