Back button AF problem

Hi guys,

I switch to back-button AF but have a very annoying problem. Whenever i move my AF point then press the back-button AF, the AF point jumps to the centre, focuses, then moves back the starting point, missing my chosen focus... I can't see how to turn this off? Any help?

I know I have read about this on the forum before, but i failed to find it, so sorry for the repetition!

Yep... It jumps to the centre while pressed, focuses on the centre, then when I release the AF-on, jumps back to where I had placed the AF point!

You registered the center AF point. To cancel it, hold down the AF point selection button, then press the ISO/FEC button.

Note that if you have the option for separate orientation-linked AF point selection, you can register an AF point in each camera orientation.

This is a very valuable feature.

You registered the center AF point. To cancel it, hold down the AF point selection button, then press the ISO/FEC button.

It did not solve the problem!

I have held down the AF point selection button and while held down pressed and held the ISO/FEC button
I have pressed the AF point selection button then pressed and held the ISO/FEC
I have pressed the AF point selection button then pressed the ISO/FEC

Non of these have worked! Am i doing something wrong?

OK, i've sorted it!

In custom controls, on the AF-ON selection press <Info> then set to manual point selection over register.

Done...

thanks for the help, it got me in the right direction!

(I DL'ed the pdf and searched it... knowing what to search for helped!)
