Thats normal. Canon requires that sellers give their rebates off the MSRP. Its been that way for a long time.AndyG said:Yesterday (04-13-2013), the price of the Canon 6D Kit with EF 24-105mm Lens at B&H was $2,199. Today with the introduction of Canon's BIG rebates the price is $2,399. What bogus B.S.!

Anybody (Neuro?) have any feelings or insight as to what will likely happen over the next few weeks? I need a 5D3 (well, nobody really NEEDS ONE) by the end of the month or so.....I guess I hope it gets back to 2949 or so like it was a couple weeks ago...

I scooped up the 6D+24-105mm deal this morning for $2199... and I added a 70-300 IS for $199.
After I sell the 70-300 IS for $300 and the 24-105mm for $700 I will have my $1200 6D body![]()

Its been going on for years, nothing new.serendipidy said:Is that how marketing works these days. You have a big rebate sale to stimulate sales and the prices go up instead of down![]()
More like $1400 ($2199 + $199 - $300 - $700 = $1398), but still a great deal!JBL said:After I sell the 70-300 IS for $300 and the 24-105mm for $700 I will have my $1200 6D body![]()

Sometimes rebates are the prelude to actual price decreases, again, for marketing reasons.
Time will tell
