Seems like in absence of exmor type on die AD's, other manufacturers are using something similar in concept to the Dual_iso that ML has. i.e. use 2 different gain paths, one low sensitivity, one high sensitivity, then combining both signals thereby enhancing DR. I was just looking at the Alexis sales brochure and it seems to use a similar idea to get 14+ stops in it's video sensors:
