Can you reprogram the rate button on the 5d3?

I guess this has been asked before but I am unable to find the thread. Can you reprogram the rate button on the 5d3? if yes, how?

While my 5d3 is getting a fair bit of use the rate button is shiny and new as ever!

You can make it do "Protect image" instead.

Unfortunately

Even so I have already changed it to Protect as this is (just) a little more useful for my needs.
Let's hope Canon will offer us more choices in future firmware updates (not that I believe it much though)

Thanks fleetie and tron. This sucks though that Canon should not just provide a redundant button but refuse to let us use it for something, well ... useful.
