cancelled Amazon(5d3) ordered at Cameta(shipping tommorow)

My credit card was just charged. They instrcuted me the camera has gone to shipping and I would be receiving an email later in the day.

Same here. I jumped off the Amazon boat and placed an order with Cameta 2 hrs. ago. They said they are in stock and my card was charged the full amount shortly after. Rep. said it will ship today, I am awaiting shipping confirmation email now.

FWIW, JUST got an email from Amazon that my body has SHIPPED!! I'll try to update when it arrives but means probably Monday because I'm on Prime....

I canceled my amazon order because I didn't order until the 7th so I thought I may have better luck with a small retailer. Still waiting on a tracking number from Cameta! They told me yesterday their shipments go out at 2pm each day so no idea when a tracking number would come in.

Just an update... my camera (body only) did indeed arrive today as expected I didn't receive my tracking number yesterday until late in the evening (~7pm) but it looks like FedEx had picked it up around 2:30pm so it took awhile for them to send out the shipping info e-mail.

Hope everyone gets their camera when they are supposed to

Finally got my tracking number email from cameta a few minutes ago. It indeed has been shipped but as they said it won't be delivered until Monday. At this point I am just glad they came through and I actually have one on the way. Hopefully the rest of you have yours shipped today as well.

I had mind order through Amazon (3/2) body only and I am seeing CC pending for charges.

Top of that it shows as pending for "shipping soon" what's odd is it states, " We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date."

After I have called Amazon 3x within last 3 days and multiple people complaining there is something going on...

Me also too It wouldn't be my primary camera, but I would like to have it at the wedding tonight! At least I could test some of my 5D2 annoyances e.g. Autofocus in low light. Hopefully I won't require an attached 580EX II with auto-focus assist when using off camera lighting at a reception! Will significantly reduce the weight!
