I have a 100mm L coming in tomorrow and questioned my purchase, i wanted a macro lens and no i will be happy with the results, i will use it to take shots at my local arboretum, food shots, and general bugs and flowers.
I was going to go with the 135 but decided I want a closer focus distance. When i looked on flickr its flooded with mostly macro, no surprise, the 135 has great portraits and walk arounds. I see each lens is its own perfect beast.
Please post some non macro shots using the 100mm f/2.8L - I'm hoping it can be used a good tight spaces portrait lens. Either way i know its a solid lens, for personal use i enjoy macro and know i will be happy but need a little pick me up while i wait to explore the lens myself. Plus it has a great resale value if i need to switch down the road.
Thanks, also i put redirect in the topic in case this has been posted, didn't come up when i searched.
