Canon 5DS for macro

Remember that the 5DS has pretty big file sizes! You can chose to use mRaw which is 28M pixels rather than 50.6M and for macro where depth of field is far more narrower this may well be enough. Ive shot straight single images macros with the 100mm f2.8L and the detail at full resolution or 28M is brilliant.

Additionally, the 180M has noticeable lateral color (blue-yellow fringes at edges), so I prefer using the Zeiss 100 M with zero lateral color unless I really need to bridge the gap.

scroll down a bit to see the comparison images. Those images were shot on a 5D2, so on a 5DsR the problems will be MUCH more pronounced.
