If this were an Apple product, I'd say that they were clearing the channel for the 70D. Given that they'll probably keep selling the 60D long after they release the 70D, it's probably more an indication of high demand resulting from the various discounts.

The 5DII went out of stock at major retailers on several occasions, at least once well over a year before the 5DIII was announed. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from this...

I worked for a retailer and the computer said discontinued... that was over a year ago... I think the 60d is just an excellent value at the moment, compared to a t4i or the t5i. sure they use stm lenses, but the advantages of the 60d from ergonomics to the shoulder lcd.are outstanding.

Camera Canada has them in stock...

I would conclude that after 1,011 days in the top 100, the 60D still holds the number 7 and number 12 (with lens) slots on Amazon's best selling DSLRs list. Only the Rebels rank higher among Canon products. And, BTW, Canon has 12 of the top 20 DSLRs.
