Canon continues to push forward with a Canon RF 35mm f/1.2L and RF 24mm f/1.2L

Disregarding my previous comment regarding off-topic, I do not shoot video or focus stack, so I’m confused by this focus breathing explanation on the Leica web site:

It seems to be ‘backwards’ – focus breathing is focal length change while focusing, causing image size change, correct?
A lot of macro lenses suffer from focus breathing: the focal lenghth decreases with the focussing distance. Some users on this forum have posted that the focal length of the 100mm macro is 67mm at the minimum focus distance. I do not remember if this was the EF or RF 100mm macro.

Well, the patent shows that Canon is looking into classical - non-VCM - photo lenses for the non-video interested photographers. It's not looking cheap, but fast and I assume a very good image quality. That are lenses I might be interested in.
