Canon Double Rebates

I am going to buy either a 60D or 7D for my wife next week and thinking about taking advantage of double rebates for quite a few lenses. What is the consensus on utilizing this double rebate right now. They are lenses I could live without...

Wondering if Christmas rebates will be better. Any thoughts.

If you do not need a lens, its probably not a good idea. Personally, I always find a excuse for buying a new lens. I could buy a 16-35mm l, 70-200mm f/2.8L, and several others that might be part of the deal.

I am actually re-aligning my entire lens collection. I have a 1DX coming along with the 24-70LII. Here is what I plan to do with the double rebate...

7D for my wife with a EF-S 15-85
16-35L II (owned ver 1 and now want new model. I currently have the 14L but selling it)
70-200L II (Just sold but want back again)

24L II (Sold and realized I loved it)
35L (Never owned but want. I just sold the 50L and want to try the 35L)
85L II (Sold and realized I loved it)
135L Never owned but want for indoor events)
100L Macro (Looks like fun. owned the 100 macro before)

Since my wife has starting enjoying, i am trying to justify the "double up" on some lenses.

With double rebates, the prices are reasonable although still higher than last November/December. However, there is no guarantee that it will hit those low levels ever again. If you can afford it, go for it!

Prices usually go up a notch right after the rebates end. With the world in tough economic times, that might not happen.
