Canon EOS-1D X Mark II Video Frame Rate Options

No Canon log??? What? Deal breaker for me.
Does this bother anyone else? I mean Grrrr.
It seems like they will launch 1dx2c at some point or the other then with Canon log. Or firmware?

Without Canon log (RAW video) the blacks are too crushed and the whites too clipped.

Upset. :(

I hope this rumour is false.

No, don't care one iota. Indeed it that is what Canon think makes the difference between a $5,999 stills camera with video functionality and a $10,000 C version that is a video camera with stills functionality then I am all for it.

Just get yourself a second 1DC, there will be plenty around.

Interesting read on the procam page:

with exFAT format support, movie files of larger than 4GB can be recorded without the need to merge files

And 10mins of 4K at 50/60fps will eat up about 64GB. No mention of how much battery that would take either. In the battery settings they only list how many stills a full charge will get.

In this image http://www.canonrumors.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/canon_eos1dx_markii_b001.jpg we can see that in the little display there is the word LOG...so there is log?

You're a bit late to the party, kklerikk. You can read all about it here:

or discuss it here:

There's lots of very enticing things about this camera. But as far as video goes I have to wait for the reviews. I was thinking perhaps this camera could fit in with the other video stuff we do. I have to see what people say about Canon's implementation of Motion JPEG and how they were able to grade the color and so on. Perhaps we can get some sample files to work with. As usual, the devil is in the details.
