Canon EOS 1Dx canadian delayed delivery??!

I just spoke with a guy I was with at the C300 / 1Dx launch last week. Apparently he was able to squeeze some info out of one of the reps. The 1Dx would apparently only be shipping as far as JULY!!!??? Can anyone confirm this?

Who knows anything is possible. I know Vistek.ca is saying it's estimated release date is March 30, but Camera Canada is saying, "Availability has been delayed until May 2012." Depending on how long the pre-order list is at certain stores, perhaps July is a real possibility.

In norwegian online stores have the date for delivery been pushed several times into the future. A week ago it was delivery in the end of april. Now is it changed again to 3.may. Price: 55.000 NOK, aprox 9.600 USD.

As history will repeat itself, Norway will have camera's available before us. Allocation is not always dedicated as a per capita calculation within territories. We have more demand here for what is available. i know that press agencies and such will all be on a priority list because of the Olympic's. Yet i dont understand how a late march becomes a May to become a June July delivery to the common public. Especially when my pre-order is paid for at my dealer and I have been a CPS member for the past 20 years. Yes it has existed that long. I would expect the 5D replacements to deliver faster.
