Seeing that Canon aren't mentioning a line between the 5D and the 1DX, it makes sense for the 5D MkIII to be higher priced (giving the option of changing prices for the lower model lines and "allowing" them to have more space to add features but still keeping differentiation of lines.
Devil's advocate - for £2750, the cheapest bundled lens would likely be the 24-105mm at say £600 extra as part of the bundle. So that'd have the 5D Mark III at £2100 - £200 cheaper than the 5D was at launch !
