Canon EOS 70D or EOS 7D, bodies compared

For those that might be interested, I have just posted a comprehensive comparison of the EOS 70D and 7D dslr bodies. In the text, I tried to cover pretty much everything that might be of importance to nature or sport photographers that may be wondering which camera is better.
The link to the review is here: http://www.grantatkinson.com/blog/ca...os-7d-compared
In short, the 70D offers better image quality, and added versatility whilst the 7D has a speed, buffer and actual build advantage.

I have also included lots of images taken with both cameras, and shared my own experiences that come from using both of them in the field.

Interestsing article using nomal people speak. Useful, as I'm toying with getting either a 7D or a 70D as my crop camera for a forthcoming safari and the 7D2 won't be out by then.

For a safari I would pick up a lightly used 7d (they are so cheap now on the forums). There are too many reports of some 70D's having trouble focusing at longer distances which is exactly what you need on Safari. Also the rugged build of the 7d would protect it better versus dust, moisture, drops, getting banged around a jeep off road, etc.
