The EOS R1 went through some stuff shooting flamingos.

The number of people that gave me grief for this and told me using a plastic bag was "common sense".

Garden hose!

I just wipe it down with Zeiss lens cleaner. The buttons and dials are very well sealed, you'll see the recessed sealing around the buttons. Anything that sticks around will fall out when it's dried up.

Try the dishwasher on a cooler setting. Oops, sorry - I confused it with a Sony.
