I guess it was a typo from Craig that's corrected. I can't find it in the article now.No one here is talking about a 24-50. What makes you think that?

I want one to start Video recording on distance! It’s a mess with the App… especially if you are on a bike… and „far“ away.A new remote? That tiny little detail in this rumor is what might actually interest meDoes anybody use the Canon BR-E1 with the Canon R5? I´d love to hear about your experience. I´m getting tired of using "camera connect" as a remote and I am actively searching for BT option. It would be great if I can find one with a timer or a small display that shows the time in bulb mode. I am open for any suggestions

Please release them, let them go, for I can't wait anymore!I can post on Monday
So they are going to price it ~$100 above the Sony 16-35/4G PZ, a lens with six XD Linear motors in it, four for AF and two more for zooming. Canon better have upped their game as far as their PZ system goes, the PZ lenses released to date have been...underwhelming.The RF 20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ will be the kit lens for the EOS R6 V and that kit will be somewhere around $3500-$3600 USD, with the lens itself being $1399. Exact retailer pricing with this launch has been all over the place, but this should give you an idea give or take $100.

And ~$200 more than the 20-70/4G. This one lacks PZ but has more range. Great travel lens, pairs well with the 70-200/4G II Macro (0.5x through the full zoom range).
...and the one lens they have released is a $370 RF-S lens that uses a STM based focusing system. I strongly suspect that a $1400 PZ L-grade lens will be significantly better in many regards.Canon has released 1 PZ lens
No matter what's new from Canon, trolls will always find a way to criticise it in order to praise Sony the Wonderful.Canon has released 1 PZ lens and it's $350... So yeah, I guess they have to "up their game".
The 20-50 mm f4 for $1400 is an instant buy for me. Internal zooming and covers 20-50 mm which is great for lanscapes when one needs to travel light.
I would certainly hope so, but Canon has put STM AF into really expensive lenses such as the $2400 RF10-20/4L or the $1900 RF7-14L. I won't be surprised if they put STM AF & PZ into this $1400 lens....and the one lens they have released is a $370 RF-S lens that uses a STM based focusing system. And Canon fanatics will find a way to ignore the REALLY obvious shortcomings. The $2400 RF10-20/4L has STM. That is not acceptable. Canon constantly cuts corners and uses cheaper & inferior tech like STM AF or FSI sensors. They deserve criticism for this.No matter what's new from Canon, trolls will always find a way to criticise it in order to praise Sony the Wonderful.
STM can be quick, but it is not fast. It's also a mechanical gear-driven focusing system that will fail with time. It will last the warranty period, so what does Canon care? Might even last until replacement parts are no longer available. Oh no, you have to buy a new lens. I'm sure Canon will be most distressed. It is not STM, and the STM motors in both those lenses are quick, quiet and they're tiny motors. Do you actually use any of the stuff you crap on?
If this pic of the lens is real, the lens seems to be much smaller than the RF 24-105mm F4 L and suddenly it might be interesting to me. Maybe someone meant the new lens is more like the RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 in terms of size?
