Canon launches a Canon CE-SAT-1 microsatellite emulator so you can take some photos from space

Why not use the 5Ds R and a 800mm lens? Will it have a meter per pixel resolution?

I bet they started this baby a long time ago...

No! You are looking at about 3 metres per pixel for the 800mm on an 5Ds camera which is equivalent to the old SPOT satellites from the 1970's/1980's. For consumer grade lenses, you need to add an extender-like interface between lens and camera body which has a peizo-electrically controlled micro-lens assembly which shakes on all 3D-XYZ axes at a high shutter rate so you can take into account light path aberrations and upper/lower atmospheric thermal and water vapour induced distortion of the incoming light paths when you combine multiple frames into a single frame of space imagery. Then you use computational light path reconstruction to get a TRUE resolution of about 50 cm per pixel for the 800 mm lens and about 25 cm per pixel if you replace the fluorite lens elements with quartz lens elements on the Canon 800 mm telephoto.

Since optical-grade Acrylic has a higher index of refraction, the company I "work" for has been able to build custom lenses all-Acrylic lenses out to 4800mm and 9600mm telephoto equivalents using peizo-electric assemblies near the camera body attachment to get us down to about 4cm per pixel which is BETTER than NROL-71 when we combine that assembly with multi-frame computational light path reconstruction.

While I don't have the actual plans for the NROL-71 mission deployed imaging system BUT have actually SEEN some of its processed full-resolution imagery, I am ASSUMING that is using a 2.4+ metre mirror in order to get the 15 cm (6 inches) per pixel resolution it SEEMS to have! They are NOT using computational photography in the manner we do so since we have such POWERFUL computational systems, so we can get down to 4 cm while the NRO can't!

Now you didn't read or see that above data !!!! ...... Right ...... ??? Capiche???

AND .... You didn't read that we have an SSTO Spaceplane ...... Right ...... ??? Capiche???

Goooooooooooood !!!!!!!!

Now forget you ever saw these posts in this thread! Capiche???

Yes but he can't tell you everything about it just yet. However we will all learn about it in the very near future and it will change everything. (That's his forum MO, right?)

YUP! Working on the public disclosure part as we speak. Should be an interesting state of affairs when people see that!

We have a pretty good public demo in mind. Kinda hard to argue with a big 148,000 lbs black triangle hovering silently over English Bay for a few hours! Where did THAT engine technology come from?

We'll also introduce the 60 GHz 575 TeraFLOP 128-bits wide GaAs Combined CPU/GPU/DSP Super-Desktop-chip and the 2 THz 19.2 PetaFLOP 128-bits Wide GaAs Opto-Electronic Array Processor Super-Server chips with GIANT 3D-Stacked on-board RAM and onboard Non-volatile Storage (Petabyte-sized!) to the world at that time. That should give heart attacks to Intel/AMD/IBM/Oracle!

---

We'll whet your appetites with some SPECTACULAR space imagery and alien technology soon enough!

There's a whole highway of "Fast Walkers" up in high and low orbit which we can show you!

---

We will be disclosing the COMPLETELY FREE AND OPEN SOURCE Multi-Sensor CAMERA next week (Wednesday January 27, 2021) HERE ON CANONRUMORS FIRST !!!!

--

P.S. Remember! You heard it here FIRST !!!!!!!!!!!!

V

THAT should get your attention REAL QUICK!
