Has anyone else experienced constant exposure changing when neither the lighting nor position has changed? I recently returned from a trip to the Tetons and was surprised to see many of my photos going from light to dark even though it was the same photo taken in the same burst with nothing changing?

Check if you have it set for exposure bracketing.

Not quite the same as my R5ii menu but the AEB does not seem to be engaged on mine.
That is understandable if you have turned the camera power off since capturing the images. As per the manual page 145, AEB is automatically cancelled on powering off the camera.

As a guess, I think you have accidentally set AEB by using the M-Fn button when you setup for high speed shutter (burst as per your original post).
