The 100-300/2.8 is made in Japan, imports from which are currently subject to a 10% tariff because the 24% tariff is on a 90-day pause. AFAIK, prior to this year the tariff on ILC lenses was 2.45% and there was no tariff on ILC bodies.

Right, I'm being hopeful that if there can be a deal with China and USA, maybe Japan can do something as well. Even a broken clock is right twice a day

Yeah this one I don’t get too… to high priced for only f6,3! But you had there also a cheaper 500 f5.6 I think?!
BUT at least you have the options at Nikon!!! We don’t have soo many great options at canon
