A Canon exec was quoted as saying “In order to reproduce video for Vision Pro, you need to have at least 100 megapixels,”
The Vision Pro has a combined resolution of about 23MPix. I guess this must be for matching the resolution of the Vision Pro for a 180* video.
He later says “So at the moment, we can’t cater to that level of a requirement. But what I presume what companies who will be providing images for the Vision Pro will be required to have 100-megapixels with 60 frames per second,”
Could this be a hint at specs of an upcoming r5s?

I believe it would have to be part of Canon's Cinema line to be fully useful with the Vision Pro. If we're lucky, it would be R5CS, but I guess it would more likely be something closer to a C700.

Maybe, but from what I can see, other than the R5c, the C500MkII has the highest resolution at 5.9k.
The C500MkII was towards the end of 2019 and C700 FF was 2018 with similar specs, but now discontinued. Both are EF mount, so it seems reasonable there will be something similar, but maybe not the same name. Although, they could decide not to compete in this area anymore...
