Edge Distortions: 24-70 f/2.8 II

For owners or users of the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 II, do you see any distortions on the edges (with people photographed near the edges) when used at 24mm? Your feed backs are most appreciated!

There is barrel distortion from the lens, and volume anamorphosis that's common to wide angle shots. I find that DxO Optics Pro effectively corrects both.

Neuro, thanks for ur response. So I take ur response to also mean it's normal & the lens is not a defect?

Yes, barrel distortion is normal. Vignetting, too. They should be symmetrical.
