EOS-1D Mk IV removed From Canon Professional Imaging Products page

Oh great! Removing the 1D4 from the Canon Professional Imaging Products page means that they are probably done supporting this model with Firmware updates. I guess it was inevitable with the release of the 1D X.

I don't think that's what it means. My wife has a 50d and about a month ago, Canon had a Firmware upgrade for the 50d. The new Firmware allows UDMA Class 7 CF cards to be used on the 50d.

Its discontinued, I saw the notice a couple of days ago. It will be supported for at least 2 years more, they recently stopped supporting the 1D MK II.
