EOS 2000d release date?

Hi guys, I'm new to canon and this forum. Does anyone know when the 2000d is coming out as I have considered the 500d but the spec of the 2000d nearly matches it, if not thrashes it . Any information will be greatly appreciated

EOS 2000D? It wouldn't want to be confused with the $18,000 2 megapixel D2000 from 1998
