CANON U.S.A. ANNOUNCES THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED EOS 5D MARK III.1 DIGITAL SLR CAMERA

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., October 8, 2013 – On the 26th anniversary of its world-renowned EOS System, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is proud to announce its latest model, the new EOS 5D Mark III.1 Digital SLR Camera. Similar to the release of the EOS T5i, the camera is nearly identical to the EOS 5D MARK III. The exciting upgrade includes improved metering in extremely dark environments when the LCD panel illuminates.

Canon developed the new EOS 5D MARK III.1 after extensive complaints by their users. At one time, Canon considered a product recall to fix the non-issue of the imaginary light leak, but deemed it too expensive and bad publicity.
A Canon insider said that the company decided that, "A simple piece of tape could be used to fix the problem, but that could hurt sales, especially if we had acknowledged the problem. With our high level of brand loyalty, we decided it would be better to offer the new EOS 5D Mark III.1 model for sale. We don't care about our customers and we hope they aren't able to tell the difference between the old and the new model."
