EOS 7D Mark II Firmware 1.04

A reader purchased a grey market Canon EOS 7D Mark II via GetItDigital and the camera came with firmware 1.04. The current version available from Canon is 1.02.</p>

They frequently skip versions that turned out to be buggy in testing. New firmware always encompasses all of the previous fixes in the new version. That is you would only need to update to the latest version...not every version in between.

Some dev shops will also use odd numbers for internal development version and then increment to the next even number when they promote it to the release version.

Confirmed!! I picked up a grey market from the same seller....got it today with the 1.04 firmware...haven't had a real chance to properly test out the AF today

I will be upgrading fw tomorrow. I have noticed the 70-200 issue but thought it was just me. Doesn't happen all of the time. I believe it also happens when using an extender but I haven't used that combo enough to know for sure.

Every bit helps when it comes to AF.
