1. Support for the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 has been added.

Perhaps that means the W-E1 will start shipping soon. Canon may have delayed shipment until the release of the necessary firmware to keep folks from complaining "the W-E1 doesn't work on my camera."

I've just updated the firmware to 1.1.0 on my 5DS. Two points not every time but sometimes my camera takes longer than normal to start-up when switching on. Secondly I cannot see wi-fi in the menu admittedly I don't have my W-E1 card yet but thought it would be listed.

The menu will appear after the Wi-Fi Adapter inserted in the camera. However, you can find the hidden items in “adding to MY MENU”.
